Her overall point is well taken though and should not be overlooked. Just not with the outcome of putting questionable and/or outright spineless leaders in place. The bottom line is the growing fissure that she sheds light on. It is becoming more and more glaring. I'm just doubtful of the easy fix. Certainly not from people who are beholden to the same system that they are supposedly fighting against.
Kamala was never an actual cop. She was San Francisco's d.a. and then California's attorney general. She's been criticized for fighting hard to keep innocent people jailed and for failing to hold corrupt cops accountable. She has never answered those valid concerns. Promoting her as someone who would substantively improve the lives of women of color while condemning Bernie's candidacy by falsely claiming he never gave details of how he would bring about the changes he advocated is simply absurd. I hope no one wastes their money on your book and I hope we never waste another opportunity for real reform. It may not register yet for the upper middle class, but the systemic rot will reach you too, and soon.

I'm asking this as a Black teacher, of black boys, who is the aunt of black nephews, and sister to black brothers…where are black men in this equation? Also…Trump is nuts, and Joe Biden isn't far behind him. They are both disrespectful to black folk. Black folk rejected Kamala Harris because of her record within her home state, and rightfully so. We need black people, in general, not just black women, but black men to help put an "end to white politics."
I know that black people are so hungry for part of the power, particularly after Obama's presidency, that they need to have another black person on the ballot. I understand that. I respect their feelings but I do think that Biden needs to pick a person that brings what he feels is the most important issue that he needs to deal with, regardless of her color. To me, getting the economy back up and running is probably first after controlling Covid-19. For that I would choose Elizabeth Warren. I also really like Val Demings of Florida for her police background another area that absolutely has to be addressed. Kamala Harris – again justice. All three of these women know the workings of the legislative branch and would be ready to step up the presidency if that was required. That experience is invaluable. I don't think that the VP position should necessarily go to a black woman, but I do think they should be on the short list, in this case, 2 black women are on mine but also a white woman. I don't think Biden should be demonized if he chooses Warren. Any one of the women on his short list will still be in politics and gaining the experience they need to be able to run that office. Trump had no experience (and needs pictures to enhance what he reads, a problem NONE of these women have) but the lack of experience has hurt his presidency (his attitudes don't help either), but I am reluctant to put an inexperienced woman into that position with such an older president.

Should elections allow anyone with a pulse who shows up at the polls vote? Should people from Texas show up at the polls at elections in Oklahoma and Louisiana be allowed to vote in state and local elections? Will those numbers sway the election one way or another. Do the people of Texas have interests which might run counter to the interests of folks from OK & LA? Why dont these simple observations get forwarded when the phrase “Voter Suppression” is sounded?
