I have been following the Disney news and you did a great job of boiling it all down for us. I'm a local AP holder and we very well may opt out until next year. The reduction in the experience, added risk, added hassle and still high cost makes it not worth the money for us right now. I'm not blaming Disney. They are doing the best they can given the situation. I'm just glad they are giving us AP holders several options including opting out of the whole thing. That really is the right thing to do.
Unless they can get the Covid cases under control, in my opinion, I just don't see how Disney is justifying opening Magic Kingdom next month when this is still a major crisis. Especially now that this petition from cast members and employees is gaining publicity and momentum. I don't blame them for starting this petition. They didn't sign up to work at a major theme park and now have to worry about catching the virus. I just think it's very selfish of Disney to ask them to do this. Disney should be closed until these cases are under control. ??
Question for your upcoming QA session – I’m a solo traveler and am interested in a Disney cruise. I love the kids, but don’t necessarily want to share every moment with the kiddos on a cruise. Do you think a Disney Cruises would have enough adult fun on the ships. I don’t gamble and am aware that the night life shuts down a little early….Im totally ok with that. Love the new content creator spot light…great way to get more people in the mix….different perspectives. ??

My friend and I have had our August trip booked for a while and have felt so confused with every new announcement. Thank you for explaining what it all means and not just reiterating the information!
Any clue why the parks are not sending merchandise you purchase to the resorts for pickup? Sort of a bummer since I was hoping to buy souvenirs and not have to lug them around the park, guess I'll just spend less money. Do you think they may start this service up again any time soon? TIA and very informative video.

Although my wife and I have been pass holders for years, I suspect we will likely put in a request to cancel our contracts since I don't see us hitting the parks until the COVID-19 situation is behind us – probably late in 201 or beyond….

I’m thrilled Spaceship Earth will open in its current iteration! I was able to get the parks I wanted for each day of our September trip. It took from 7am to 1:20 pm to get those reservations!
It doesn't really matter for me whether they allow park hopping or not because I don't do that with the Disney parks. I only do that at both Universal parks because I find that one can do all attractions at both Universal Studios and Universal's Islands of Adventure in one day if you get there early enough and stay there until closing time (and it gives you reason to ride the Hogwarts Express). I know you'd have to have the whole day to do everything at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT but I'am not sure about Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingom. Could I spend the whole day at both parks individually or could I do them both in one day? And I have the same question about Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach as well.
Thanks for sharing all the latest info! It took me 2.5 hours to get my park reservations, but I (eventually) got spots at all the parks I wanted for my trip in August. ?
My family and I are going down in July, on the 20th and 21st and we’re really looking forward to it. We’re doing Magic Kingdom on the 20th and Animal Kingdom on the 21st. And we’re staying at the Disney Springs Holiday Inn Resort.
So for all I could glean from the DVC pages I was following yesterday, the AP limit of 3 days was overriding the room reservation higher limit for a lot of people. To solve this, people had to call the web support at (407) 939-4357 – or 407- 939 -help. (No I'm not a dvc member yet but I want to be, surround yourself with where you want to go, right?) It sounds like it was an absolute nightmare for a lot of people. Good info, David.

I know everyone is different and has their own feelings about going or not going to the parks. I like you live 3 hours south of WDW and have my AP extended till 8/22 just want to know if you feel it would even be worth going?

Since i have a 3 day park hopper cam i get a 4th ticket since cant go between 2 parks as what we originally was gonna do

Have you found out anything about Hopper passes? I know that you cannot park hop but nothing about what will happen to those who bought them.

Finally got 3 park reservations after calling that 407-939-7277 for 13 hours over 2 days. I am a Premier AP with reservations at SOG.
