For those who know of Generator Rex, which is another show "Man of Action" was a part of, should know that the initial promotional of the show was pretty bad and was changed. This, hopefully, may also be the case with the MegaMan TV show. Although, I was really looking forward to a MegaMan X, Zero, or ZX show though…
I gotta say, the guy saying that console hardware upgrades within a generation are good because that's how phones do it…..do you REAAAAAAALLY want your game console to be like mobile gaming? Because I tell ya hhhwat, that's not ok >.<
I take issue with the whole 'it's not for you it's for really little kids' because that just feels like a cop out for it being of poor quality. It's very possible to make a show that is for really young kids and still faithful to the old source material. Just look at the new Ninja Turtles cartoon.
once again Capcom has let everyone down! I'm a huge megaman fan and this is a huge disappointment, i thought mighty n9 was bad but this is an insult! This is very mainstream 🙁
Hmm…now that I have a more detailed look at it, Aki Light/Megaman doesn't look too bad, kinda simple yet cool type of feel to it. My only complaint might be that there's barely anything in the middle though lol, but hopefully it will look better in action ^_^
Fuck a new audience. Fuck catering to the new generation. Fuck capcom. If the future game that comes from all of this is a jump and shoot platform scroller with mechanics similar to the x series then all will be forgiven….but I won't hold my breath. I have a horrible feeling mighty no 9 is the closest we are ever gonna get. So basically to sum everything up, suicide is are only option……
why cant we just get classic mega man?…… if even they took the mega man model from smash 4 ( witch is my main & i'm pretty beast btw) but damn… looking sorta grim for mega right now smh..
I don't care much about Mighty No. 9's trailer itself, it's dumb, and the game has some ugly stuff in it. But…I do love the jokes people make about it. It's worse than Sonic '06 and Sonic Boom combined, and it's not even out yet. lol
The MH rumors…uh…I just didn't get interested, I mean, after so many NX rumors, I got tired of any rumors about new Nintendo consoles.
Also, if Capcom has been listening, where the actual fuck is Legends 3? The backlash from that cancelation was more extreme than any clamouring for Mega Man 11 that I've heard.
Sonic Boom at least looks decent. Yeah they're massive departures, but they don't look like bad fanart; you can tell they were designed by people who knew what they were doing (except for the bandages… That's just fucking weird) but this looks like it was done in MS Paint by a middleschooler. It's so bad.

Me, i don't even expect about Mega Man's design for that new cartoon and i view new megaman cartoon rather retcon-ish, and Ash and Derrick that's a terrible comparison you made there, and i do view that it's rather tron-esque, but at the same time there could be more to the design here.
It's for new generations no doubt, and it's supposed to be that way.
Not to mention that they'll easily recognize it's figure and let's be honest it would've been too predictable and on the bright side at least it's not Captain N Megaman and Americanized, and good grief it lacks any distinctive figures and is a disgrace of an excuse of a crossover.
Also, if there's any consolation here about Mighty No. 9, it has the style of Mega Man and Mega Man X, it had a new concept no doubt, and as for Red-Ash, let's be honest they should've save that until they are done with Mighty No. 9 and the plans of Media adaption (At least make it take place after this said game).
The design of megaman is horrendous and introducing kids to megaman in this way is TERRIBLE. "It's made this way for a new generation" is a crappy excuse to try to pardon their boring, crappy take on the character. Aren't the best stories the ones that are retold? Megaman's base story is heavily inspired by astroboy, but how many astroboy type cartoons are there? The closest thing was power puff girls. Compare that to stories about heroes going to school and hiding their special powers from friends…
I was REALLY hoping they'd treat it like Young Justice or something with great artwork and a semi-serious story. THIS on the other hand looks, the premise and everything. They are pretty much going for the Megaman Comic story, but using their own take on it…
If only Capcom cancelled this thing like they did with MML3…and Maverick Hunter…and Megaman Universe…
Second Idk if I can go with the idea iterative console cycles. I mean isnt that the same reason why people was knocking the ouya? It was outdated hardware from the start and now we are saying do this is cool?? Personally its a stupid idea to have mid upgrade consoles cause the question of whether my system is obsolete has to be answered and to be honest.. I was cool with the ouya doing it but the ouya was 100 bucks and small as shit. the ps4 is 3 something and If Im making the jump to a new system every few years I dont want a ton of consoles in my house. Even if I did agree developers dont always know how to make an old game work good on an new system. There just is too many issues that cause come with it.
H O T T A K E: I did not play it, but Mighty No. 9 looks fun. Come on, the classic series was kind of doomed at the start too!
Why even redesign Mega Man? Seriously, just revive the classic design, they did it in Smash 4 and he looked awesome.
