I agree with some comments here…. This woman is pillar of strength and absolutely fearless….. She fought her way to parliament and fought her way in parliament….. which PAP female ministers are like that…. all of them parachute in and then the selected ones became ministers…… If Sylvia Lim is in the PAP camp, she would have been the top minister among the females PAP ministers, no PAP female ministers is of her calibre yet…in terms of sincerity, courage, intelligence and humility…
Even after 2020 election, pls continue to support Workers Party or any Opposition Parties with good candidates… Singaporeans need to work towards the vision of having 1/3 opposition…. that will give this country the diversity of talents that is needed to progress and bring the nation forward to world class…. A PAP majority government/parliament has proven a failure….. the poor performance of the 4G leaders is unthinkable, the mediocre state of the economy and the bad management of the covid 19 crisis are strong indicators that radical change is badly needed.
Change in Singapore will never happen at least not in my life time (and I'm pretty young!). The PAP is too deeply entrenched within Singapore's infrastructure and society. Their cronies are either CEOs or MDs of all the major GLCs here. I would prefer to watch what happens in Singapore from the outside. That's why I want off this ship and I've been successful in getting off before COVID19 hit. Now I'm stuck here with you poor lot… sigh

I remember it wasn’t like this in the 90s and early 2000. Got kampong spirit but now it’s on the brink of extinction.
This county has become very distant, cold and uncaring. People behaviour are changing into this elitist mindset. They’re always unhappy always comparing never ending pursue of material goals. They forget what is important. Old people are seen as nuisance now cause doesn’t generate gdp so is burden. Artist are losers. Anyone dare to live an alternative lifestyle choice are basically outcast.
Nobody talks to each other. Chinese New Year are getting more quiet to the point that families don’t even celebrate anymore because people starts to resent one another. Divorce rate, suicide, mental illness, domestic abuse and violence all goes up.
This is the price that we’re all paying in the name of GDP growth. This country is no longer home for the longest time. This is a prison.
This is one of the greatest speeches to ever be aired on local television, especially in terms of the present macro environment and for the future relevance of Singapore in the world stage.
CPF member should be given a option to withdrawn fund or installement plan @ age 55 as a support and caring as a country or kampong for thier journey . So that they will not worry about no job or no food /drink , house Bill's expenditure and other etc . Country cost of living is high. Thank you
