The Edo People continue to talk about how well Governor Obaseki has done in Edo State without much emphasis on the platform he was able to perform as he did. PDP governed Edo for many years before Oshiomghole became the Governor and the people of Edo must never forget the past. Obaseki despite the issues between him and his predicessor had an enviroment supported by the ruling party to aid his accomplishment. Listening to what the Lady has said about the error in her credential when she was admitted into the University, I believe for the interest of the people of Edo and the ruling party Governor Obaseki should have taken an appeal beyond the secreening team to defend his credentials which may likely still come up regardless of which platform he runs if he wins. We alll know what know hom much the APC was blamed about what happened in Bayelsa election, therefore no one can blame the APC for conducting the screening. Besides the certificate issue, Obaseki had performance behind him and this is why he should have engaged in appeal to support his credentials. Joining the PDP who cited his credentials as an issue in 2016 was not the best move because APC might still contest his winning based on what happened to them in Bayelsa State. Obaseki has a performer is remarkable but the platform on which he carries on the performance will make a difference.
Today, I celebrate Gov Godwin Obaseki he is a man I have chosen as a mentor! his passion for his people is overwhelming, but he should be ready to pay the price, absorbing the good, bad and ugly critics.
