I believe it does need to be made quite clear that the CCP is responsible for this situation turning into a worldwide epidemic. That said, because the reality is, there are people who would take both verbal and physical actions against those responsible, without being aware:
1. Chinese are Asian but not all Asians are Chinese
2. All CCP members are Chinese but not all Chinese belong to the CCP.
Because of this, the president and responsible news media should be going out of the way to clarify that the CCP is responsible and, in general, Asians had no say in the matter and are innocent of any responsibility.
P.S. Chinese is a nationality, not a race. Being anti-CCP is not racism. Being anti-Chinese is not racism (just dumb). Being anti-Asian IS RACIST.

I hope WHO survive with regained respect via what ever will allow their remit to be salvaged. This no time to throw out what structure there is to work with and start from scratch.
