Besides the fact that more people invest in companies, what's the biggest difference between the sports card market and the stock market? I grew up in the 90's and always collected basketball. It's interesting to see how insanely popular basketball cards are now, I think it's because Basketball is much more intertwined with pop culture now than any other sport.
What Gary is saying is diversify and pay attention to trends. Soccer is going to BLOW UP! China has guaranteed they'll be World Cup Champions by 2050. If you don't think 100 million kids aren't in soccer camps in China, RIGHT NOW, you're not paying attention. Look what China has done to the basketball card market. What do you think will happen to the soccer card market? Exactly the same thing.

Had to watch this again. It's almost like you had a crystal ball. I believe overproduction is very high right now. I am 61 years old and have alway be a collector. Now turning to sell those cards that I have collected I can not understand how some of these new cards are selling so much more then those cards of the late 70's or early 80's. Even some classica cards from the 60's when there was far less production. Will be interesting to see how things go over the next few months with the economy coming back.

I just started back with my card collection after I seen a couple kids at my son school with some. I searched on eBay and seen the prices I was like yeah lol I’m back. I have a huge Jordan collection and thanks to that last dance documentary prices for those cars are up! The last couple week I been watching so many video and reading blog learning today’s era to get up to date. Thanks for the videos this has helped me greatly
Gary i bought a bunch of graded 10 cards years ago before this huge spike between the mid 80s thru 2000 (baseball) ,they were dirt cheap because of the steroid thing and now they are super HOT .. but they are not all PSA , some of them are the old BCG what is the difference in them? is the pricing diff?
I miss breaking packs so bad. It got so expensive though and the market was taken over by auto's and relics. It wasn't even worth the trash that was packed in with them.
There may be production increase but think of the world wide demand that has also increased. So many people buy cards from asia its insane. SO make sure to keep that in mind it is not just the supply it is also the demand
Who are the top 10 rookies in 2020 MLB cards out right now. Outside of Gavin Lux, Yordan Alvarez, Bo Bichette, Aquino not familiar with the other top rookies.
I collected sports cards when I was a kid now im 32 with 3 kids started getting into it again and buying. Before Kobe passed away someone was selling 300+ Kobe cards for $180 I bought them there were 7 rookies in them and I made my money back selling one of them. Recently got Cody Bellinger rookies 12 of them for $50 a steal.

Topps project 20/20 are now selling for insane prices this is a classic example of demand. But the actual rookies will win the marathon i think.
