In the USA for instance, if you go to an emergency room for an actual emergency and you’re not bleeding much or you’re not having a heart attack, the wait is a couple hours. This is because most migrants go to emergency for flu (before this latest event) or bad colds. With your new bill, the wait could be doubled. If I could change anything about how this works, I would have a section for people that could wait till the next day and people that actually need to see a doctor within minutes. The need for migrants to be seen is important because something could spread to the population. Here, we have a problem, sometimes because even though they can get medical help they are sometimes here illegally and are afraid to go to the doctor/hospital but in reality, the Boarder Patrol doesn’t check medical facilities.

So it was ok when Boris was treated, medically managed and cared for by NHS migrant workers but it’s ok for the tories to think about shafting them? I’m glad to hear that the tories have changed their minds and I’m glad that Labour pushed the tories to ensure those surcharges have been dropped for health and social care workers.
