One use of this technology that I'm really excited for is being able to generate voices for characters in games where they would normally just be text only.
The more people point out the flaws in the comments the more they help them to eliminate the imperfections and improve the quality. I'm concerned to the core about a deepfake being used to create Tom Hanks for SNL. I had been led to the video with tips on what to look for (facial parameters over extended, 2d green screen backdrop, etc) so I knew going into it what I was looking at. But still, very obvious once you see it. The mistakes are immediately shown in the first seconds of the video. You can see his digital neck surpass it's boundary and overlap his shirt collar.

If technology like this falls into the wrong hands I could see this going terribly, this technology probably shouldn't exist
