I don't like Driven, but he's confusing stuff there… he keeps saying "we have had, we have…"?! Does he not realize that the movie is about Indy Car, rather than F-1? (Not saying he's wrong about what pedals they might have, but he's a F-1 driver, not Indy, hence what's with the "we"?)
His neck looks absolutely huge in this! It doesn’t come across on camera usually, but these guys have to deal with some serious Gs trying to rip their heads off.

A lot of other series (F1 included iirc) use a "meatball flag," or a black flag with a big orange dot in the middle, to indicate a mechanical fault that requires you to pit (such as, in this case, a bumper that's about to fall off). Not NASCAR. In NASCAR, they use the black flag for both mechanical faults and penalties. When you see the black flag, it doesn't mean you're disqualified; it means you have to pit to either fix the problem or serve the penalty. If you keep going without heeding the black flag, you'll be shown a black flag with a white cross, meaning your laps are no longer being counted, and they won't be until you come in. If you still keep going, that's when you're disqualified.
