Big thanks to Pixel Vault Games in Ontario California for all the help with what I needed to get my retro NES system going . Great place and good prices if you’re in the area .
Congrats on a return to childhood or maybe teenhood! ?I recently bought one too! I only have three games! Found a little used 27 CRT at a garage sale for $8!!!! Dang I forgot how heavy those things are!
Anyway ENJOY!!!
lol Wilson is keeping you company it seems
Nintendo Entertainment System the greatest video game console of all time
You should do a gaming series! Did you get RC racer that was one of my favorites besides Mike Tyson Punch-Out!
Why didn't you mention you're back to the future videos to the time traveler?
Guys, I sell and customize these, been featured in magazines and with a few celebs. Anyone looking for something, let me know. @Adam the Woo, been following you for YEARS, and was a Guttermouth fan before you came as well. If you need a custom Adam the Woo controller, let me know!
Glad to see you are getting back into the retro games man! If you ever want to see some reviews of old games hit me up or check out one of my videos! Looking forward to more retro gaming videos from you!
Adam…blades of steel rocks..its a hockey game!!
it wasn't designed to play on 16:9 screen as the gameplay is stretched. adjust tv settings to 4:3
I totally loved watching him play Mario!
This place is awesome!
I wouldn’t be upset at a possible Adam the Woo gaming channel or playthroughs
Don't stretch it out to 16:9… keep it OG 4:3…. no hate though… still cool fun & thanks for the vid
DUDE! NO TETRIS?!
Make videos playing NES Adam!
They didnt come out with the NES set with duck and mario as a multi cart until later on the original set from 85 had them on seperate cartridges. The set that you bought in that shop at least came out after 88 because nintendo power magazine didnt come out until 88. i got my nes on release date in 85. btw the super nintendo came out in 91 was 16 bit and competed with the genesis.
I have one! Well, my parents have it somewhere in their house and they have no clue where…
watching yah playing this game made me keep thinking exactly what you missed in the 1st lvl. lol. I also need to get back to playing my old NES. I have some games I need to finish on there like Legacy of the Wizard. I only beat LoZ 1 on my list and I don't have that many games for the NES, but still have a few good games.
I still have my Nintendo NES from my childhood. I need to get the pins replaced in my system.
The same guy that help Austin to paint his Playstation 4 gray
I'd happily watch a retro gaming vlog or seven!
Lol game over . Take a lap
5:16 you never had to push the game down.
This activated my old days gaming…regards
Very cool
Omg that green cat clock on the wall is so creepy!! ???
This was fun, I am ready to set up our old NES too
It would be cool if you had a gaming channel and had maybe 1 or 2 videos per week on that channel depending on your schedule for other videos on this channel.
I still have my Nintendo Power round button.
I would definitely like to see some NES videos, would have been cool!
I’d like to see you playing games and making videos on it
If your NES system had the Super Mario Bros/Duckhunt combo game, then it's from 1988 or 1989. Also, the only people who were able to get an NES in 1985 were those living in the New York City area. Nintendo released it only to that market as a test run in October 1985, then rolled them out to the rest of the country in 1986.
I appreciate the love to a local shop, and your appreciation of retro gaming, but leave these type videos to the real retro gaming experts. I remember when you did real travel videos about weird places. Then you started trying to be like many other vloggers doing theme parks, restaurants, and now trying to dable in video games. Do what you do best, stop trying to be others. Nothing but respect.
Love that you got the o.g. one. I bought the mini one a few years back..
Adam you could find a retro TV at a goodwill store for your gaming have fun I remember buying my kids the same set they are around the same age as you.
Ok now I want to drive from Chicago to meet this guy…..but I need to gather about 3 grand of nintendo money lmao
Get top gun and jaws 🙂
Dear god!! Don’t use Windex. Use 90ish% alcohol on a cotton swab. It’ll clean and dry timely so you aren’t putting a damp cartridge into your console and kill both.
Nice game choices, Adam!
You might also want to play these: JACKAL, TMNT II, BOMBERMAN, BALLON FIGHT, PUNCH OUT!, THE FLINTSTONES
Good job for a first time after so many years ?
First things first Adam, set the TV’s display settings to 4:3 it won’t be so stretched out and give you the aspect ratio closer to a TV of the 90’s, HDTVs also suffer from what’s called input lag in which theirs a delay between a button pressed and a action on the screen, their is upscaler options but they are pricey for the best ones and I’d only consider it if you plan on live streaming, any purists will say just buy a old school CRT anyways, that’s the best way to go with the older stuff.
The line from The Wizard is “keep your power glove off her.”
Bro you gotta find a copy of Maniac Mansion. That game occupied ENTIRE weekends following a visit to the video store. The classic video store with the beaded curtains with porno behind it tucked in between an insurance store and a Dominos.
They were promoting the powerglove
Hey there’s Wilson
What a gem of a shop, great find!
I really like this video- reliving our childhood – so many wonderful memories. For me it was Atari 2600. My neighbor had it and we played it for hours! I also enjoyed your recent video visiting your old 'stomping grounds' in Orlando. Really cool that you shared that with us. Today I am subscribing to your channel!
That was an awesome vid. I'm always happy to see someone get a retro video game system for the first time or since they were young and trying it out years later. I think every now and then you could put out some game play and thoughts. Nothing wrong with that. ?
