EVERY NIGHT IS BUGGERY NIGHT
It gets better everytime best band ever
A police car and a screaming siren
A pneumatic drill and ripped up concrete
A baby wailing and stray dog howling
The screech of brakes and lamp light blinking
That's entertainment, that's entertainment
A smash of glass and the rumble of boots
An electric train and a ripped up phone booth
Paint splattered walls and the cry of a tomcat
Lights going out and a kick in the balls
I tell ya that's entertainment, that's entertainment
Days of speed and slow time Monday's
Pissing down with rain on a boring Wednesday
Watching the news and not eating your tea
A freezing cold flat and damp on the walls
I say that's entertainment, that's entertainment
Waking up at six AM on a cool warm morning
Opening the windows and breathing in petrol
An amateur band rehearsing in a nearby yard
Watching the tele and thinking about your holidays
That's entertainment, that's entertainment
La la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la
Waking up from bad dreams and smoking cigarettes
Cuddling a warm girl and smelling stale perfume
A hot summer's day and sticky black tarmac
Feeding ducks in the park and wishing you were far away
That's entertainment, that's entertainment
Two lovers kissing amongst the scream of midnight
Two lovers missing the tranquility of solitude
Getting a cab and travelling on buses
Reading the graffiti about slashed seat affairs
I tell ya that's entertainment, that's entertainment
La la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la
La la la la la la

2020 July still listening to this beautiful song I am 67 now???I.just got the chords for this so ,practice and lots more.At least I will recognize it when I play it??
Bruno the Wierdo's finay been suspended.
Memories of working a YTS course in early 1981.
We had the radio on while we worked and this came on every half hour, along with Sgt. Rock by XTC, Jealous Guy by Roxy Music and Once In A Lifetime by Talking Heads.
I was 16 with long hair and my whole life ahead of me.
Now I'm 56 and running out of time.
That's life.
Why is no one talking about the amazing bass line
JESUS Must Be In Our Guitar! The Kingdom of I Am Music! Fox! Rock's Czar! Never The Bride To Be! Land Here! I Am.
They played The Masonic Temple in Toronto in the late 70's. That bass player dancing about and returning to the mic to do his backup lines. Remarkably powerful sound coming from three guys.
Every night is bugerry night
Love The Jam. So many amazing songs. This could be their best. My God the memories.
Oasis anyone?
Masterpiece.
Love, forever #thejam
Pauls voice is in a league of his own
Me too!
so utterly brilliant…
Just listen to that bass!
I don't know why it's taken me so long to realise that this is poetry. I guess that's why it's still fresh, even after 40 years.
Makes me want to start up my old lambretta, I'm back after two hours ! Fuck me im nearly dead , poxy Fucking scooter ! I have to ask myself ". Do I love you? Indeed I do
Dig the "auteur" chairs.
Best acoustic punk song ever.
That's entertainment✌
The multi talented the jam always loved this tune.
Blimey! Doesn't Paul look young in this video, great song from a band who recorded some great stuff.
Some of the best music in modern British history came out during the darkest times.
Add a public comment… good
Prince!!!!
Lights going out and a kick in the balls …..Hope it wasn't with a divers boot.
This is entertainment ,how good does this sound in 2020 wow
Nice of these guys to remain socially distant and record this for us locked up at home. When people try to collaborate on zoom it never seems to be in sync. Thanks, jammies.
Brings back memories of my late brother
Ah better days. I miss music.
YESSS, I STILL LOVE IT!
This song just popped into my mind and now I have to hear it. What's up with that?
This song proves the sentiment/statement of the album title from which it was extracted…Sound DOES Affect!
I told people to listen to this song when I came to the states and they would say England must be so cool to live in. In the 70’s this was living in England.
I was listening this when I was 15 now I'm 36, still listening ??
Mike cobb enjoyed this in the eighties.
