I believe you managed a pretty non biased presentation. Only argument I would bring up is the influence of Christianity amongst the conservative party. Most conservatives, myself included are not Christian in any way. Just my experience.
My family does not like to talk about politics with me as I support the NDP both federally and provincially and they are quite conservative. You can probably guess which province I live in lol.
The US does not have a two party plus system; all seats in the legislative and executive branches are held by either Democrats or Republicans. Third parties are only protest votes.
Wait… I’m confused… it seems like the NDP and the Liberals are doing more for the fight against the climate crisis than the Green Party… Canadians, please explain!!!
Live in the US. Considering moving to Nova Scotia. Thank you for helping me understand Canadian politics. Way more interestiting than American politics.
Why so much hate for the greens ? And Elizabeth May ? Not trying to be rude just general question. I’m hopefully relocating to BC next year to live with my partner. I’m very much into politics in the US and wish that our Green Party would be taken more serious. So I’m surprised by what you had to say
Here's what I like about you. There's a SHIT load of things what I don't see eye to eye with you on but you are 100% willing to admit that you're human and you're biased and you're always willing to tell everyone what your biases are. That's pretty cool. A lot of """journalists""" here in the states are actually just far-right dingbats parading around as unbiased gods of reason.
In the US our Green Party is the same, idk if there that obsessed with conspiracy theories but there pretty much a super left party that’s kinda extreme.
He’s allowed to have opinions. But what the fuck was that description of the Green Party. Who did 9/11? Homeopathic medicines? Conspiracy theories? Ok that’s bullshit whatever party you’re in
Forgot immigrants
great explanation
Love trudeau
Right wing is always stupid
Left is more open.

Trying to do a US equivalent would be something like:
??? = Libertarian
??? = Republican
Conservative = Democrat
Liberal = Green
NDP = ???
Green = ???
Yeah we have a pretty terrible party system
In terms of literature on the political history of Canada, what would you recommend if I could only read five books on the subject?
The system is not exactly the same as the U.S, for example the NDP is bigger than any third-party in the U.S, there is no equivalent of Bloc Québécois in the U.S.
I’m 2:30 in and all I can say is both parties sound extremely problematic.
My family does not like to talk about politics with me as I support the NDP both federally and provincially and they are quite conservative. You can probably guess which province I live in lol.
im canadian ive never heard any one say "about" like that until now wtf

Please sit on your hands, other than this enjoyed your talk

The simplicity in naming of the two main parties is astonishing
I wish you had talked about NDP and green party more
‘,B-)

I'm watching this video for a research paper. very helpful so far. its very different how you say "about"
I have a question, what if a citizen favours a party's policy but not completely and still favours another one in another party?
At least you have free healthcare

Wait do canadians call the conservatives tories too? as thats what the uk does
Thanks bro… you taught most of us more in 1 min than the Canadian school system teaches students about Canadian politics.
he moves so much whilst talking you could set this to music
Wait, so is Canada not a state of the USA?
"…the other parties, which have been around forever."
Wait, when was the Conservative Party of Canada founded again?
