Comedian Al Murray explores the weird, wonderful – and sometimes surreal – world of British politics. Having set up the Free United Kingdom Party (FUKP) and …
Don’t agree on the ‘you must vote’ thing. Democracy is also the choice to withhold your vote if what you have to choose from does not speak to you. If you take it to the extreme level and you had the choice of Nazism and Stalinism, then would you be so eager as to say ‘you must vote’? I chose not to vote in that election because it called for no political reason, but as an ego fishing trip for May. None of the parties won me over with their campaigns and I didn’t want whoever won, to be able to say that they won with a high turn out, and thus legitimise their position. I deeply value my right to vote. What really devalues that right, is not my ‘not taking up my vote’, but the fact that no one at the top of their parties in this country has proven themselves worthy of anything above acting like primary school kids every Wednesday lunchtime and making the worlds oldest democracy look like an infantile circus. There are some MPs in the lower ranks who genuinely care about making this country a better place, but sadly they never get anywhere near positions of influence. The reason why so little people laugh in this video, is that it’s about a situation that’s genuinely not funny.
Maybe not free dogs for all Al but did you have to have to actually say cat tax out loud??? you know that one is lurking in the lobby of Westminster as I type this out…….
The title of this video makes me laugh because in America we hold our comedians to a higher standard then we hold our politicians so politics is kind of a joke pal
I thought the Monster Raving Loony party was a good thing. When Screaming Lord Sutch was on stage for the results it stopped the 'real' politicians from being quite so pompous and full of themselves.
Ironic, last election they were all joke candidates apart from Brexit of course……. should of run Al you couldn't do worse than Lib Lab n the other muppets
His party had better points than a real party in the Netherlands:
PVV -> Islam is bad
That's it, and it nearly became the biggest party, we have some complete idiots here in the lowlands
Allister, beautiful British name
This Arabic translator is new and I liked his method very much, mother's shoulder of greatness broo,,????
Stick to being a (scripted) comedian. That… your good at. Politics?… Forget it.
Those in Parliament have been making a mockery out of democracy for decades
What's ur name : me mufasa
AL; beautifully British name

Its scary to hear the sensible side of Al Murray
Tough Crowd, I was giggling over the comment about “Steve and Jeff”, not a murmur from the audience…

Your reminder never to peer behind the curtain.
Man..I waited for a punchline to this whole speech
6:30 I phenomenon I call "Power Word: Real Name"
Imagine if we had av vote in this country. Democracy would far more healthier.
Tough crowd.
so how do we escape from 'our' shepherd blaming his own exploding sheep every year for debt infinity and no sand ?
so much for freedom of expression they won't even let me leave my comment on here
For some reason I hate it when he stands on the edge of the red rug on the floor. I prefer it when he's in the middle. No idea why.
Great presentation – nice ;O)
Drat, i was looking forward to a free dog. :/
I find most of this not believable. No one attacks the Monster Raving Looney Party, so I doubt there was much opposition to FUKP.
Free Dogs for all by CAT tax? Labour 2019 anyone?
