Ideologies of political parties in the United States. General views of liberals (generally associated with the Democratic Party) and conservatives (generally …
This is a very well-illustrated and nicely explained with regards to the issues that crop up in The States and in the world today and I would like to say thank you very much for this lesson. I'm South African and we don't talk of things in left or right or democrat or republican – more along the lines of moral values based on principles of Christianity and Judaism vs Atheist – do as what suits you regardless of what God's laws of behaviour to please Him, are or called Secular (which is mostly an academic term used mostly when someone is trying to be fancy). It's so interesting that we have many of the same issues it would seem as The USA – social, criminal and economic (just termed or viewed differently) and these acts are mostly all said to be as a consequence, in one way or another, of the injustices of the past when South Africa, 26 years ago, was run by conservative White Afrikaans people who then, and still today even less so, make up a very small percentage of the population. But they are an extremely highly efficient people (I'm White English South African and can give them credit for that trait) with regards to organisation, resourcefulness and practicality. Wow, your tutorial, really, has been an eye-opener, because the current status quo of "the previously disadvantaged" (which is a term given which often, I believe, exonerates the individual too easily and already gives them low-credibility or even confidence) is a descent each day of a people deeper and deeper into a cesspit of more violence, more gangster-ism, more theft, greater corruption, more poverty and a greater decay of infrastructure, judiciary, services and quality of life which was once very high etc. etc. But to be critical and take a hard line on these people is very improper and one gets criticized and verbally disdained for pointing out what would seem the plain and simple facts of the situation of the majority of people in the country who also have democrat thinking. In fact one has to be very careful not to offend when pointing out these facts, at work, at a public place or when saying something on social media as the "democrat" types get offended. They don't like the pointing of fingers toward failure I suppose. Or it could be that "Republican-thinking people" have such high expectations towards decency and so harshly "judge". I don't know but this type of person often seems to want to be blind to truth, to rather shift blame on previous regime and "molly-coddle" and it serves no constructive good for their development. It may temporary sooth them as they don't have to face their own ineptitudes or it could be that "democrat" are just too scared to be honest about rebellious destructive ways. They are blind or choose to be blind to the collapse that that type of behaviour causes. They don't realize that no long lasting future of civilization will exist with such notions. So it seems to me that South Africa is "democrat"-run and to be otherwise insults the majority or to point out a "republican" solution for the improvement of current woes upsets the "peace". In my experience: it doesn't take much to throw these types into a it of rage or have them infuriated or into a dark emotional state if you express to loudly an opposing view to theirs: it could even be that the idea of sex-change operations doesn't sit well with you. What I noticed, my hero as a young child, Nelson Mandela, do (I only have the terminology now – not back then when he became president when I was 11) was he lifted the then "moral laws" – allowing pornography into mainstream television, the death penalty was done away with, one would not be held accountable for debt, prostitution and abortion were made excusable and abortion eventually, legal. Back then, these seemed kind and he won favour in my eyes. But I began to question these when I grew older and saw the negative impact on society. Only now I know: he was a "democrat". The Republican notions and expectations which The Apartheid regime seemed to expect of every citizen, I sensed as a boy and now see, are deemed to be too difficult to achieve and unfair to impose because of the past, because one loses a sense of autonomy and a sense of self-importance to act contrary to old established ideas of moral conduct . And although economic empowerment is the top desire and hope of the Black people and of all people in South Africa, which the leaders promise my Black brothers year in and year out, but the opposite happens, due to corruption and incompetence by leaders and also due to the democrat "softness" or "exoneration from being accountable" – morally, mostly – which seems to impoverish the character and perseverance to strive because they aren't made to answer up to failure, weakens them. And immoral behaviour which is given to be a right to chose seems to throw the said individual into turmoil instead of jail. All just gets blamed on the previous dispensation. What everyone practically knows and out of pure common sense announces – be they politician or citizen, across race and creed, is "Republican" in manifesto which is to get on with life, put in the hard work required, aspire to live according to high moral standards, ethics, to do the hard yards and no excuses required and to be a champion through hardship…but a very small portion, minute in percentage, of the "democrats", get it right. They should strive for republican I would argue. Wow, never have my eyes been opened by a tut like this. Thank you. It provided a lens for my world in SA. Ngiyabonga Kakhulu we say in isiZulu, Zululand my home:)
About taxes, conservatives want the same tax rates across the Board, Conservative are more into giving to Charity than Liberals..,, liberal want to the distribution of wealth…but don't touch their money,, Conservative want a Balance Approach on Regulation where it's good for Consumers, Americans, but keeps an eye on the Environments.
I’m having to pick my party and I watch this video and I agree with 3 of the Democrats and 3 of the republican and there was one I couldn’t pick between ? this helped me a lot
I'm 98% Liberal/Democrat. But I'm FULLY against Affirmative Action and I'm Pro Life (With Caveats). I also support Israel (Note: I also support the Palestinians). But besides this, I tend to have very Progressive views on every other issue. But just for these three things, I'm not able to represent Democrats in any debate.
So honestly, I'm just Independent. Why can't we all just be Individuals?
I'm in the middle when it comes to prolife and prochoice. Against affirmative actions Pro gun rights although against gun violence Acknowledge the social issue and rights rely on evidence and investigation, while want some laws tough of some crimes and corruption Less or no taxes for rich, middle and poor More social programs to end poverty, unemployment, high wages of $9-15, universal healthcare and education No regulation except when workers/human rights and regular businesses are under attacks by corporations A strong muscular military only used for self defense and terrorism prevention Where does that put me
Also you neglect to mention a lot of current events. This really is the wrong time to try and discuss politics, because there is no way someone on the left and someone on the right can have a level headed conversation these days. Especially with the extreme left (the Marxist communists currently dominating the democrat party)
Crime: Crime is crime. This will bleed into the subject of guns also. See, the second amendment is so people can defend their homes, family, and property. Also, an armed society is a polite society. Have you ever been to Arizona? Lots of guns, lots of nice people. Great deterrent against crime. There is an aspect of crime that is a social issue as you call it, but if crime is tolerated, it’s a slippery slope to full lawlessness.
Income inequality: a very complex and undeniable problem. The solution, however, is not government welfare programs to make people dependent on them. Create an economy where there are opportunities to get out of poverty. Sure, there is racism. But it’s the people calling everyone racists that are the biggest racists of all. Do some research, you’ll see for yourself.
Great video 🙂 for these days it’s very watered down and somewhat outdated, because the original liberal is either in hiding or has gone the way of the dinosaur while communist progressives have hijacked the democrat party. I will lay out what I really see going on for you and I will cover each social point in a separate comment. I’m not touching the economic or military points.
Basically, liberals are anti American, lazy welfare recipients, while conservatives are hard working Americans with principles.

Wow, I'm amazed with how well he represented either side. No stawmans, just the facts. I appreciate that.
anyone wanna get in a political argument with me. I'm a democrat btw
There should just be a province for each ideology.
99% of the demoturds, 10% of the independants , and 2% of the rhinos should make a spaceship and settle Mars.
Conservatives are douchebags but I agree with them on guns. Rest I’m with liberals
How does this guy literally know everything?
The comment section is surprisingly tame.
Libertarian Gang
Sure guns aren’t the only reason that mass shootings happen but guess what if you take away the guns they can’t shoot
Liberals are way better
