The investigations have found nearly Rs 30 million in cash in the wreckage of the Pakistan International Airlines' aircraft that crashed near Karachi International Airport and killed 99 people on board.
I don’t know about “God bless Pakistan“ but surely I wish God would help them. They have a government owned airline that doles out jobs based on patronage, a pilot’s Union that protects incompetent pilots, and they are further hamstrung by an airline industry that refuses to automate airplanes properly, and instead leaves it to error prone pilots to put down the landing gear! God Save Pakistanis and the rest of us from this God forsaken industry.
Here’s what I think happened, captain called in a mayday and said an engine failed. Since the plane crashed I would presume it would have been an engine explosion that damaged hydraulics since you only need 1 engine to fly. Even without hydraulics it would have been possible to steer with differential thrust but since they crashed, it could be poor flying or a loss of hydraulics, the plane either flipped or nose dived, and crashed after an engine explosion.
One hundred percent piloting error. That would have been prevented. I wish a swift recovery for the people who had relatives on that plane. May Allah forgive their sins
