WEST PALM BEACH —

A 27-year-old West Palm Beach man is facing charges after he allegedly exposed himself to a 17-year-old girl Wednesday morning.

City police charged Jeffrey Jerome Morant with indecent exposure and possession of marijuana, according a probable-cause arrest affidavit made public Thursday. He released from the Palm Beach County Jail Thursday on his own recognizance.

The girl told police she was walking through an alley between Eighth and Ninth streets, just west of North Dixie Highway, when Morant passed her while riding a bicycle.

He then turned around, approached the girl and exposed himself, the report said.

Morant reportedly fled after the girl screamed and told him she would be calling the police.

An officer responding to an unrelated incident spotted a man who matched the suspect description provided by the girl. She then identified Morant as the man who exposed himself.

He taken into custody and searched. An officer found 3.6 grams of marijuana in Morant’s possession during the search, the arrest report said.
