Vandals caught on camera trashing Oklahoma man’s Christmas display just days into holiday season


Carl Neat said for more than 20 years he’s decorated his the front yard of his Tulsa home for Christmas. But his holiday cheer disappeared over the weekend, when a pair of vandals trashed the display and caused about $2,000 worth of damage.

A pair of vandals trashed an Oklahoma man’s Christmas display over the weekend — but surveillance footage of the cold-hearted act could help cops cuff the suspects before the holiday.

Carl Neat said he’s decorated the front yard of his east Tulsa home for more than 20 years, a tradition that often brings several outsiders to his neighborhood just to get a glimpse of the lights.

But the cheer disappeared from his spirit on Saturday morning, when he woke to the wreckage outside his home.

Neat said the holiday hoodlums cut wires to the strings of lights and sliced open his inflatables, which included a Santa Claus with his reindeer and a penguin. Several decorations were tossed onto his roof and eggs were smashed on his car.
