Unhappy lovemaking allegedly leads to arrest of Delray Beach woman
A Delray Beach woman was arrested after she allegedly battered and falsely imprisoned a man who tried to leave a hotel room after complaining the woman wasn’t paying attention to him during sex, according to a police report.

Boca Raton police responded to a call of a disturbance at the Marriott Hotel at 5150 Town Center Circle Saturday morning and spoke to the man, identified in the report only as a 27-year-old resident of Fort Lauderdale. The man told police he was having sex with Miriam Ghaly but decided to leave because the woman was paying more attention to the television than him, the report said.

Ghaly, 43, yelled for the man to stay and kept him from making a call to the front desk. When the man went to the bathroom to change, Ghaly allegedly positioned herself so the door wouldn’t open, the report said. Ghaly continued to restrain the man after he exited the bathroom.

When police questioned Ghaly, she admitted keeping the man from leaving the hotel room because she wanted him to “stay and discuss their problems,” the report said.

Ghaly faces charges of battery and false imprisonment and was released from the Palm Beach County Jail on Sunday after posting $1,500 bond.
