Port St. Lucie police release video of man and woman in Wal-Mart robbery

City police have released a surveillance video and pictures of a man and woman suspected of robbing a 67-year-old woman in a Wal-Mart parking lot Friday evening and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the two.

The video and pictures are from a Sunoco gas station in Stuart where the man and woman used the victim’s credit card.

The robbery happened at about 5:40 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of the St. Lucie West Wal-Mart store at 1675 N.W. St. Lucie West Blvd., Port St. Lucie police said.

The victim told police she was sitting in her car when another woman approached her from the driver’s side window and pulled a black handgun. The armed woman demanded the victim’s purse and threatened to kill her. The victim complied and the suspect then ran back to the getaway car and fled the scene, police said.

The investigation revealed that a black four-door Honda with an Illinois license plate (possible partial tag of CF253) pulled behind the victim’s car. The armed woman then got out of the passenger seat and approached the 67-year-old woman with a gun, police said.

She ran back to the car after stealing the purse and her accomplice drove away. The couple reportedly drove west on St. Lucie West Boulevard toward I-95.

Police said the armed woman is a white female, 25-30 years old, 120-130 pounds, with black hair in a ponytail. She was wearing a green long-sleeve shirt with a a white undershirt and blue jeans. The driver is described as being a white male with long brown hair with a patch of hair on his chin.
