PBC Traffic: I95 open; Congress in Boynton flooded; FEC train stuck

Flooding has wreaked havoc on Palm Beach County roads.

Interstate 95 is now open in both directions in Boynton Beach. Southbound is still a slow go with three of five lanes open and hours of backups formed.

On Florida’s Turnpike, a crash is blocking one right northbound lane at Glades Road.

Seacrest SB before Hypoluxo closed.

Another crash, this one southbound, is partially blocking a left lane before the Lantana toll plaza.

Jog Rd. closed NB at Atlantic Ave.

Congress Ave. from Woolbright to Miner Roads flooded.

Gateway and Congress flooded. Police are blocking the intersection.

Seacrest Avenue partially flooded.

Miner Road and 122nd Street in suburban Boynton Beach are closed due to issues at the FEC railroad tracks. Delays are expected until 10 or 11 a.m. FEC tracks were washed out near Miner Road and 122nd Street stopping a freight train. The tracks have been repaired but the train is awaiting a fresh crew to more it.

Hypoluxo east of I95 has some flooding. Sea Pines Road closed into that neighborhood, north of Hypoluxo, east of Seacrest.

Riviera Beach Police Chief Clarence Williams has tweeted: I urge everyone to stay home today, if you must travel avoid standing water.
