Bird steals camera and records journey in Australia

In northwest Australia a bird snatched a video camera that was recording crocodiles, and captured its 70-mile journey across a remote landscape.

According to Yahoo, On Monday wildlife rangers in Western Australia’s Kimberly region published a video that showed the sea eagle in action. In the video the eagle’s wings can be seen flapping as the device is snatched. Later the eagle’s face can be seen poking into the lens of the camera.

Rangers set up the motion sensor camera back in May, according to Salt Lake Tribune. The camera was placed along the Margaret River, but it disappeared soon after. The rangers just figured that it fell into the water.

According to Morning Sentinel, However, recently the rangers discovered the device near the Mary River, about 70 miles away. It was when the rangers looked at the footage that they found out that the eagle swiped the camera.

From now on the rangers plan on bolting down their cameras.
