20 year old woman was raped on the hood of a police car by a Boynton Beach Police officer

a police car by a Boynton Beach Police officer, she reported the attack to the same police department, according to a police report.

Two days later, she detailed the attack in a petition for injunction obtained by The Palm Beach Post.

As the officer drove the woman to the secluded field where he assaulted her that night, he forced her to preform oral sex on him in the car, she wrote in the petition. DNA found in a used condom and on the officer’s underwear matched the woman and the officer, according to a police report.

Stephen Maiorino, accused of raping the woman at gunpoint, is being held without bail.

He is charged with armed sexual battery, armed kidnapping and unlawful compensation or reward for official behavior by the state attorney’s office. When Maiorino did not appear in front of judge Caroline Shepard on Friday morning, his attorneys asked if his appearance was required. The judge said yes..

Maiorino’s attorneys told the judge their client is pleading not guilty and they plan to use mental health as their defense. The attorneys would not make a statement to the press.

The eight-year veteran is on administrative leave without pay until he can be fired from the department, Boynton Beach Police Chief Jeffrey Katz said.

In the injunction for protection against sexual violence, the woman detailed the moment she came in contact with the officer that evening until he dropped her off at the police station an hour later than initially expected.

Earlier on Oct. 15, she and her 23-year-old male friend were driving after a late lunch when they were stopped by police. A police report noted her friend was arrested on charges of DUI, fleeing and eluding as well as resisting arrest.

In that report, police said the woman was also visibly intoxicated, swaying back and forth when they spoke with her.

After police took the woman’s friend away, she was left with three police officers and her friend’s car that she waited for to be towed, she wrote in her petition for injunction. Her cellphone was dead that evening, so she asked to borrow an officer’s phone to call her mother to pick her up. As two of the officers left and the car was towed, Maiorino took her back to the Boynton Beach Police station where she would wait for her mother to pick her up.

Once there, Maiorino told the woman to stay in the car. He told her he thought she was sexy, that he was checking her out and “liked what he saw.” He then told her if she did not preform oral sex on him, he would arrest her, she said, so she cooperated because she was scared.

As he drove to the secluded area where police said he raped her, she wrote in the report she was forced to preform oral sex. Once they arrived at the field, about 20 blocks north of the police station according to a police report, he yelled at her to get out of his car. She said she was scared for her life and “in shock.”

He took her to the front of his car, told her to strip, put a condom on and raped her with his gun in hand.

Before he drove her back to the station, he took the clip out of the gun and showed her the bullets.

“If you tell anyone what just happened, I will find you and I will kill you,” she remembered him threatening.
